Presenters: April Lopez with El Paso Water/Science

Join us to discover where El Paso gets its water, where it goes and why it's important. Also, come learn about water curriculum and resources available to educators throughout the region.
Water is life, particularly in our corner of the Chihuahuan Desert. When students begin to cover the science of water in school, they are often presented with images of oceans, flowing rivers and wooded areas- not the desert. El Paso Water wants students to appreciate water at a local level by introducing the foundations for a lifelong appreciation of our own regional water resources. Because an essential part of engaging students is to educate them from an early age, El Paso Water is offering regional focus lessons. Join us to learn about our regional water resources and educational tools available to educators and community.
